Ayatollah Ameli gives sensational information on Khojaly events: Ergenekon and Mossad were behind it

Мемориал

According to Iranian information agency Arannews, recently the representative of Iran's spiritual leader, Imam Juma of the city of Ardabil, Ayatollah Seyed Hassan Ameli, made sensational revelations regarding the Khojaly events. He said that the Israeli intelligence service created the Ergenekon organization in Turkey to suppress Iran's activity on Azerbaijan's side during the Karabakh war. It was said that allegedly under the pretext of assisting Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Iran is creating a new organization, Hezbollah, and this process must be stopped without delay.

General Veli Kucuk, an Azerbaijani by nationality, was entrusted with that mission in Turkey and a plan was worked out in a short time. Under the guidance of Veli Kucuk, a special organization was created in Azerbaijan to prepare coup d’état.

"Heavy losses on the front were needed for a coup d’état to succeed, literally a hard tragedy was needed. In these very conditions the organization of the Khojaly tragedy was taking place. I have spoken much about it in my sermons, and was accused of blaming the Azerbaijani people for it. But I meant not the whole nation, but the traitor politicians," Ameli said, adding that this tragedy is a stain on the Azerbaijani people's reputation.

It is known that Azerbaijani President Ayaz Mutallibov was ousted from power several days after the Khojaly events. "Mutallibov was under the protection of the Russians. Were the Russians to bring Elchibey to power after his removal?
Clearly, no, and the coup d’état was against the pro-Russian government. As they explained, it was a crafty plan aimed at suppressing Iran's activity on the Karabakh front, carried out at the price of innocent people's blood. Ergenekon was behind it, but actually it was Mossad," the imam said.

Ameli added that the file of Ergenekon's crimes is being disclosed today page by page, accompanied by exposure of traitors. However, the part concerning Azerbaijan is being kept secret. "Veli Kucuks and his Turkish and Azerbaijani buddies are not questioned on the Khojaly events. Azerbaijan easily went through coup d’état, with those who participated in it currently holding high posts in parliament and presidential administration. An unpleasant situation when the actual organizers of the Khojaly tragedy pretend to be making every effort to inform the international community of it. It is dumbfounding," the imam says indignantly.

Head of Iran's Supreme Court Mousavi Ardebili during his visit to Azerbaijan, with the mediation of the late haji Alikram, met with one of the popular movement's leaders and proposed close cooperation in several areas, including in the Karabakh issue. But his offer of assistance was turned town and Ardebili received this reply: "I will come to Iran only to proclaim Tabriz as the capital of Azerbaijan."

"The late Rovshan Javadov mentioned an interesting nuance in a conversation with his assistant, a general from Tabriz. He said that after the coup d’état and inauguration, the president first of all met with him and he thought that he would be asked about the plan to take Karabakh, but during the conversation the president pointed to a folder on the table and said,

"We know everything about your cooperation with Iran (the folder was sent from Israel to Turkey and later to Azerbaijan). From today, you must stop all the contacts. We do not need Iran's help. If I know that we will return Karabakh with Iran's help, I will gift these lands to the Armenians. Karabakh is not a serious problem, and will get a solution in a short time. We are at war with Iran, and must prepare for a war against it. Our actual enemies are not the Armenians, but the Iranians," said the president.

Then everything changed: the cooperation was stopped, the assistance was rejected, and the Iranian servicemen, who had arrived at the Azerbaijani side's invitation for cooperation at united headquarters, were arrested. It was very strange that they were questioned by investigators from Turkey and Israel," Ameli said.

"Having felt Iran's influence on the front, a group of politicians gathered and, paying tribute to the Turkish-Israeli fraud, organized the Khojaly events," said the imam, stressing that the Azerbaijani authorities allow Israel to deploy an intelligence network and open an embassy. Also, Israeli statesmen openly declare that Azerbaijan is the most convenient point to strike Iran.
